Chassis Dynamometers
Taylor's most popular chassis dynamometer model is the CM51 FR-60, which has a total of 6 rolls. It utilizes a cradle-style mount, meaning the rear tires of the truck are cradled by the rolls rather than rested on top of them. This allows for quicker setup time for each dynamometer run.
The TD-36 is a 4-roll unit, or a roll-top mount dynamometer. The truck rests on top of the rolls, which are considerably bigger than those of the CM51, allowing for greater horsepower capacity.
Taylor's TD-24 is a 6-roll unit with larger power rolls (24") than the CM51, giving it more horsepower capability. Its cradle-style mount allows for quicker setup time than the TD-36 for each dynamometer run.
The CM51 S is a 4-roll unit, utilizes the cradle-style mount, and is capable of single-axle testing.
