Electronic Throttle Control
The Taylor Dynamometer Electronic Engine Throttle Interface is for use on electronically controlled diesel engines. Our interface connects directly to the vehicle/engine harness and does not interfere with the vehicle's computers. Cable terminations/connections to the vehicle/engine harness are the customer's responsibility.
The Electronic Engine Throttle interface module is designed for use on Detroit Diesel (DDEC II, III and IV) and Caterpillar (HEUI) electronically controlled engines. Our interface utilizes a 0 to 10 VDC input signal and adjusts the throttle position (output) proportionally.
We recommend the use of an off-board diagnostic tool (i.e. MPSI PROLINK) or a PC-based diagnostic device for system calibration and operational verification prior to running the engine.
Engine Instrumentation Unit required.
Pneumatic Throttle Control
Taylor's Pneumatic Throttle Control allows for remote control of the engine throttle and is designed to work with any make or model of engine that uses a mechanical throttle. The Pneumatic Throttle Control can be directly actuated by either a mechanically operated hand-lever or through Taylor's DynPro data acquisition and control system.
