Electronic Tachometer

The Electronic Tachometer (E-tach) provides a simple and effective way for reading vehicle engine speed without having to setup a magnetic pickup in the flywheel housing or some sort of optical tachometer on the truck. The Electronic Tachometer offers a quick, no-hassle setup that should take less than a minute to install.

Setup on this unit is easy. First, check to make sure that the truck you are currently working on has a cigarette lighter outlet. If not, this unit will not work. Simply plug the adapter into the cigarette lighter and the other end of the cable to the input jack on the control box. Next, select the number of cylinders the truck has on the control box. Lastly, plug the output end of the control box into the appropriate jack on the Engine Instrumentation Unit. Voila! Your vehicle is now hooked up and DynPro will read/display the vehicle engine speed.
