Engine and Vehicle Test Cell Rental Services

The Taylor Dynamometer facility includes two engine dynamometer test cells and a chassis dynamometer test cell all designed to provide a quality environment for engine and/or vehicle testing programs. Numerous engine or vehicle testing services can be offered, ranging from performance and durability testing to fuels and lubricant testing and more.

Taylor’s test cells provide a comfortable work environment and the facility amenities needed to get the job done. We offer limited access and provide the privacy you desire. Space is available for engine or vehicle storage, maintenance, tear down, inspection etc.

You can rent Taylor's test cell on a short or long term basis. Alternatively, Taylor can perform your testing requirement on a contract for services basis.

Engine Test Cells

  • Two (2) test cells for 10hp to 2,000hp (7kw to 1,491kw)
  • Automated data acquisition with measurements including; pressures, temps, blowby, smoke, BSFC and more.
  • Variable test cycles or steady state operation
  • Temperature and pressure controlled test cells

Chassis Test Cell

  • One (1) test cell for single-axle pickup trucks up through tandem-axle trucks and buses to 1,100hp (820kw)
  • Automated data acquisition with measurements including; pressures, temps, blowby, smoke, BSFC and more.
  • Variable test cycles or steady state operation

The data acquisition and control systems, test cell control systems and facility support systems for test cell operation are all designed and developed by Taylor Dynamometer. The facility support systems, including the Air handling (HVAC) system and Water Recirculation/Cooling system are controlled from the test cell control room. All test cells can be setup for standalone operation or connected to the facility network for data backup.
