Exhaust Hood for Chassis Dynamometers

• Canopy style exhaust hood. Fabricated out of a steel frame and galvanized sheet metal (14' x 16' ft)
• Internal baffle increases fume capture velocity
• Temperature resistant (up to 1000°F) fiberglass strips front and rear to facilitate safe truck entering and exiting
• 40,000 cfm. roof mounted fan for accessibility and easier maintenance
• Fan comes with: rain cap and gravity operated dampers
• Customer supplies roof curb: 66-1/2" x 66-1/2"

Ventilation should be provided to evacuate the room of hot air and exhaust gases and allow cool air to enter so that the truck radiator can take advantage of it. Hood should be mounted at 12ft. from the floor to keep it as low as possible and maximize fume extraction.

Velocity or motor operated shutters of sufficient area (56 square feet), mounted in the wall approximately 6' from the floor should be provided to allow fresh air into the dynamometer room, if the dynamometer is to be run with the overhead door closed.

Optional system for horizontally mounted exhaust stack is available.
