The DynPro Share Module is a wiring interface / enclosure designed to allow one DynPro Data Acquisition & Control System to be used with two separate dynamometers. The signals to and from the two dynamometers are wired to the DynPro Share Module and depending on the switch position, will send the signals to and from the dynamometer in use to the DynPro Data Acquisition & Control System during a test.

The Taylor Share Module is used to switch the load and speed cables from one dynamometer to a second dynamometer. This share module does not allow both dynamometers to be testing simultaneously.

The 3 switch positions are as follows:

  • Position "A" is used during the operation of the "A" Dynamometer. When running or calibrating your "A" Dynamometer, you must choose the "A" position on the switch.
  • Position "B" is used during the operation of the "B" Dynamometer. When running or calibration your "B" Dynamometer, you must choose the "B" position on the switch.
  • The "DynPro" position allows the operator to switch between positions "A" or position "B" from the DynPro work station. This can be done by clicking on the "I/O" tab, then choosing the position that you want.

Note that during calibrations you must manually switch to the corresponding "A" or "B" position on the share module for an accurate calibration. The "DynPro" position may not be used during calibration.

The DynPro Share Module does not allow both dynamometers to be testing simultaneously. When using a single DynPro Data Acquisition & Control System for two dynamometers, only one dynamometer can be operating at a time.
