Water Brake Dynamometers

Taylor Dynamometer has been making water brake dynamometers since the 1960's. Today, Taylor has the largest world-wide installed base of heavy-duty water brake dynos. Our waterbrake dynamometers serve as the industry standard.

Taylor Dynamometer's line of water brake chassis dynamometers accommodates horsepower ranges from 50 HP to 1100 HP at 40 mpg, for single, tandem or multiple axle vehicles and a full range of flexible axle spreads's. Taylor's chassis dynamometers allow a top speed of 120mph (193kph) with a top recommended speed of 80mph (129km/h) at full load. As with all our chassis dynamometers, the water brake (also referred to hydraulic) chassis dynamometers are designed for use in the medium to heavy-duty vehicle markets. Simply put, we design these systems to test vehicles ranging from single-axle diesel pickup trucks, RV's and buses up through the largest tandem axle on-highway trucks and buses.
